Sinatra Music Society was founded in 1955. At that time with critical acclaim for his dramatic performance in From Here To Eternity and a succession of hit records on the Capitol label, Frank Sinatra had the world on a string.
SMS honours the legacy of those very good years when jazz was the popular music of choice and Sinatra’s peers numbered consummate artists such as Nat ‘King’ Cole, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, working with the music of such superb writers and musicians as Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Gordon Jenkins.
Sinatra Music Society is based in Great Britain. An organisation of over a thousand members, it comprises a network of local branches and publishes a journal Perfectly Frank every two months packed with features and articles, news and reviews.
Fees within the United Kingdom are £14 a year; £17 for European membership and $45.00 for the USA.
